Ein Bier Bitte!! (German for "give me more beer...please")

The fiance and I recently returned from another fabulous vacay across the pond. This was Oliver and I's third trip Germany together but our first trip to Oktoberfest!! I'm not much of a beer drinker at home (I prefer a nice crisp Sauv Blanc to bubbly fermented barley...) but this was GERMAN beer. In case you didn't know, beer is pretty much sacred in Germany (like, more sacred than bud lite in Texas). So sacred in fact, there is actually a LAW about how you can make it.... It can only contain four ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast. Needless to say, the beer in Germany is the shit. Here's a little run down of the beer drinking.

Our first beer in Munich at the all famous Hofbrauhaus
We're here!! When you're at Oktoberfest- You have to wear this! Doesn't Oliver look freakin' awesome in his lederhosen?? Side note: This is at 9 AM. Nothing like beer for breakfast!

Beer and Pretzels. Breakfast of Champions!

Mom and Dad enjoy a brew as well

The highlight of the day was intercepting these two at the train station and "dragging" them to the beer tent!

Our vacation didn't end in Munich. Our next stop was the unbelievably cool Mediterranean city of Barcelona! That post will have to wait though. Packing is necessary for this weekend's upcoming music extravaganza! Otherwise known as Austin City Limits fest. So pumped to wear rainbows, wander around Zilker Park, and be surrounded by music!

Auf wiedersehen!
